Matthew & Fariba Salar
A shared calling. A heart for our neighbors.
We are Matthew and Fariba Salar, Assemblies of God U.S. missionaries serving Farsi-speaking people, especially Iranians and Afghans. Our journey has taken us from Iran to Thailand and then to Texas. Along the way, our calling has remained the same: to share Christ and walk alongside people as they build a new life.
In Amarillo, that meant English and citizenship classes, help with everyday challenges, and a church community for people discovering faith in Jesus. Today, Persian Elevate Church continues online, bringing Farsi-speaking believers and seekers together across borders.
We are now preparing the next chapter at the North Texas District Intercultural Center, based at First at Firewheel in Garland, in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. Matthew serves as the center’s Director, and we serve together as an AG U.S. Missions team. Formal in-person classes have not launched; our plans include English classes and citizenship classes. Immigration legal services will begin only after the required approvals are in place. While we prepare, our online church and ministry relationships continue.
